Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable and scalable sheet metal and electro-mechanical rack assembly products from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-effective designs and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in supplier evaluations, product qualification planning, and Root Cause Corrective Action for mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Work with the Product Data Management team to create, review, and approve Bill of Materials, Approved Manufacturer Lists, and Engineering Change Orders.
- Build prototype server products and travel to Contract Manufacturers to support fabrication and assembly.
- Resolve issues and implement manufacturing process optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in product design and manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with mechanical design of electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as NCT sheet metal, metal stamping, injection molding, and CNC.
- Excellent technical program management and communication skills.
- Experience in planning and executing projects with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Product Data Management systems (e.g., Agile, Windchill).
