Data Center Electrical Engineer Manager

The Data Center Electrical Engineer Manager leads a team of electrical engineers in the design, development, and delivery of electrical infrastructure for Google's global data centers, focusing on large-scale systems and efficiency improvements.

• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers, setting priorities and providing feedback.
• Collaborate with teams to develop DC electrical designs from Basis of Design to Issue for Construction.
• Support long-term planning and delivery of HV substation infrastructure across North and South America.
• Provide expert technical support for the development of new data center infrastructure products related to HV, MV, and LV systems.
• Communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation.
• Manage project assignments based on team capabilities and project demands.
• Optimize efficiencies and seek continuous improvements in data center operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 12 years of design experience in infrastructure and technology projects.
• 10 years of experience in electrical distribution systems.
• 5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in building data centers and related infrastructure.
• Technical analysis skills related to overall system architecture.
