Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for vehicle components.
- Gather information on supplier components and existing designs to optimize concepts.
- Use CAD tools to create and review vehicle components and assemblies.
- Assess designs using analytical tools for stress, vibration, and durability.
- Process design releases and manage changes in production.
- Collaborate with test engineers to execute test plans and review results.
- Provide engineering input for technical publications like service manuals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the engineering industry.
- Familiarity with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX, CREO, or SolidWorks).
- Experience in design for manufacturing and service.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and product validation experience.
- Basic knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and suspension design.
