Responsibilities
- Manage or contribute to laboratory automation projects from conception to execution.
- Develop and optimize automation solutions for RNA synthesis and high throughput nucleic acid synthesis.
- Script for automated platforms based on project needs.
- Provide support for the DNA and RNA production line using automation tools.
- Troubleshoot issues with automation systems and propose solutions.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and calibration of automated system instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, production teams, and external vendors.
Job Requirements
- BS in Engineering Discipline or Biology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Biomedical Instrumentation/related subjects.
- 2+ years of automation experience in manufacturing.
- Proven track record in workflow design and process optimization with automation.
- Experience in transforming bench work processes to automation solutions.
- Knowledge of commercial automated liquid handlers (e.g., Tecan, Beckman).
- Basic understanding of hands-on molecular biology experiments.
- Good organizational and project management skills.
