Responsibilities
- Performs design and development in mechanical, thermal, thermodynamic, or heat transfer areas.
- Leads development of strategic tasks or small to mid-size projects.
- Provides technical input to project management to achieve business goals.
- Monitors projects from initiation through delivery, including planning and budgeting.
- Plans and executes small to mid-size projects within larger projects.
- Directs and coordinates engineering tasks or small projects.
- Mentors lower labor grades in mechanical principles and project performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree with 6 months of experience.
- Proficiency with solid modeling CAD tools (Creo).
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (ANSYS) preferred.
- Ability to handle complex assignments and lead engineering projects.
- U.S. citizenship and Department of Defense Secret security clearance required.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical standards.
