Responsibilities
- Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout.
- Develop firmware to control complex electromechanical systems.
- Own projects with a focus on shipping products rather than specializing in one area.
- Design subsystems such as sensors and actuators, considering electrical and mechanical tradeoffs.
- Support designs throughout the product life cycle, from research to debugging field failures.
- Back up design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
- Grow into larger system architecture design and technical leadership roles.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and debugging electronics.
- Generalist knowledge in electrical engineering, including analog and digital design.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller firmware development.
- Hands-on approach to supporting designs throughout the product life cycle.
- Bonus skills include experience in systems requiring mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Portfolio demonstrating skills and experience is encouraged.
- Interest in contributing to a diverse and inclusive community.
