Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of mechanical architects, thermal engineers, and structural engineers.
- Lead mechanical architecture, structural, fluid, and thermal analysis of the iron-air battery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to model and optimize system designs.
- Ensure designs meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements throughout development.
- Mentor and develop a well-rounded engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
- Support design and build activities on pilot and production manufacturing lines.
- Contribute to scaling the multi-day energy storage system for a sustainable future.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 12+ years of industry experience in mechanical system design and analysis.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Expert knowledge in thermal or structural analysis.
- Strong mechanical design experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in model validation and correlation.
- Excellent technical communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
