Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and test battery pack systems to meet performance requirements
- Collaborate with analysts for design decisions based on first principles
- Participate in component design reviews and prototype testing
- Engage with vendors and collaborate with manufacturing engineers
- Co-develop auxiliary systems with Battery Cell and Systems teams
- Work with senior engineers to learn product design best practices
- Champion safety in laboratory processes
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of industry experience in mechanical design
- Understanding of first-principles modeling and design optimization
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or with contract manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and interdisciplinary interfaces
- Direct experience in product development within an early-stage environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
