Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and test battery pack systems to meet performance requirements
- Collaborate with analysts to drive design decisions
- Participate in component design reviews and validate prototypes
- Engage with vendors and collaborate with manufacturing engineers
- Co-develop auxiliary systems with Battery Cell and Systems teams
- Work closely with senior engineers on product design best practices
- Champion safety in laboratory processes
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's with 2+ years of experience
- Understanding of first-principles modeling and design optimization
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or with contract vendors
- Demonstrated mechanical design experience and interdisciplinary interfaces
- Direct experience in product development within an early-stage environment
