Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of battery module components from concept to manufacture.
- Develop functional requirements in collaboration with product and technology teams.
- Perform hands-on prototyping of designs.
- Work with manufacturing engineers to transition designs to high-volume production.
- Collaborate with testing teams to define and execute validation test plans.
- Support the design, build, and test of engineering prototypes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and geometric tolerancing and dimensioning (GD&T).
- Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with plastic component design and manufacturing techniques such as injection molding and extrusion.
