Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of mechanical engineers for product development.
- Lead the mechanical design of components for the battery cell.
- Define and drive necessary analysis, including FEA and failure analysis.
- Analyze tolerances and develop trades for cost, manufacturing, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with module design engineers for component integration.
- Ensure design decisions meet safety and compliance standards.
- Partner with manufacturing engineers to release design packages for production.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience in mechanical design and proficiency in CAD.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience leading, managing, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Expertise in plastic component design for structural applications.
- Familiarity with plastic sealing technologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Direct experience with high-volume manufacturing and prototyping techniques.
