The role involves developing and maintaining backend systems for manufacturing applications, focusing on real-time insights and integration of hardware and software within Ford's digital manufacturing ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient backend services, APIs, and data integrations for manufacturing applications.
- Participate in the software lifecycle, focusing on design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
- Contribute to key features, ensuring scalability and performance in real-time scenarios.
- Debug and enhance system reliability, addressing issues in production environments.
- Engage in code reviews, share knowledge, and apply best practices in backend development.
- Collaborate on technical decisions and adapt to new technologies in a manufacturing context.
- Write secure, maintainable code aligned with industry standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience building and deploying systems in production with strong system design skills.
- 6 months of experience utilizing databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and message queue technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- 6 months of experience utilizing cloud platforms (such as AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Exposure to manufacturing or real-time systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
