Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel braking, steering, wheel, tire, and suspension concepts.
- Assess and validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility of design proposals.
- Define new design requirements based on regulations and product attributes.
- Design, analyze, build, and test prototypes at component, subsystem, and full vehicle levels.
- Evaluate braking, steering, ride, and handling attributes in vehicles and simulators.
- Collaborate technically and communicate effectively with team members.
- Utilize 3D modeling software and engineering fundamentals in design processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive or related fields, preferably EV.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and application to vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably Catia and 3D Experience.
- Experience in designing and testing mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Knowledge of chassis systems and vehicle dynamics fundamentals.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods and GD&T.
