Responsibilities
- Review and approve plan layouts, including new designs and modifications.
- Review and approve product prototypes and theoretical models using computer simulations.
- Write detailed functional specifications and design flow/tradeoff documentation.
- Support the introduction of new technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for engineering staff regarding hardware-software interfaces and system performance requirements.
- Provide training and support to system designers and users.
- Design and develop hardware and support peripherals, including system-on-chip (SoC) and custom integrated circuits.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Good fundamentals in electrical engineering.
- Experience in high-density rigid/flex board design and system integration.
- Hands-on lab skills and rapid prototyping experience.
- Ability to manage projects with ambiguity and multiple paths.
- Understanding of core technology areas like SoC, sensors, and wireless interfaces.
- Basic knowledge of embedded software and comfort with software logs/code.
