The Mechanical Engineering Intern role at Epirus involves participating in a 10-week hands-on internship program focused on developing software-defined high-power microwave systems aimed at countering drone threats.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components for HPM systems.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify designs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects.
- Participate in testing and validation of prototypes.
- Support documentation of engineering processes and findings.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute ideas for innovation.
- Learn about compliance with ITAR regulations and export-controlled data.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Rising senior or beyond with a graduation date between 12/2026 - 12/2027.
- Prior internship, collegiate project team, or laboratory experience.
- Experience with CAD software on any platform.
- U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
