Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of downhole drilling tools.
- Design and iterate positive displacement motors and BHA related tools.
- Translate conceptual ideas into manufacturable designs using SolidWorks.
- Conduct FEA analysis using ANSYS for durability and performance assessment.
- Iterate designs based on testing and feedback from engineering teams.
- Collaborate with machinists and vendors to ensure manufacturability.
- Provide technical documentation and support for manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in downhole tool design.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks and ANSYS.
- Familiarity with material science and mechanical seals.
- Experience with prototyping and hands-on testing.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Passionate about solving engineering problems in the energy sector.
- Ability to work on a small, high-performance, cross-functional team.
