Responsibilities
- Design, model, and document mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
- Perform engineering calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis for components in high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.
- Drive the design process from concept through prototype and field validation.
- Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and operations teams to meet performance and manufacturability goals.
- Support lab and field testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage BOMs, change orders, and interface with vendors for assembly optimization.
- Conduct hands-on prototyping and testing, working closely with machinists and technicians.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in harsh operating environments.
- Excellent 3D CAD skills, preferably in SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of fatigue life, material science, sealing technologies, and FEA/Ansys.
- Proven track record in designing dynamic assemblies and pressure-containing components.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing.
