Responsibilities
- Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT, ETAP, etc.
- Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit, and dynamic in PSSE.
- Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, voltage/frequency ride-through assessment.
- Process, generate, and maintain data as required for other engineering-related studies.
- Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
- Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s (and higher) degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in electric power systems.
- 2 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
- Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
- Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT.
- Experience automating/programming in Python.
