Responsibilities
- Perform power system impact studies: Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability
- Conduct NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL-001-4 Annual Planning Assessments
- Execute full generator interconnection studies, including Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies
- Ensure renewable and/or storage resource projects meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements
- Participate in ERCOT working group meetings and case building efforts
- Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed
- Process, generate, and maintain data as required for all studies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems
- 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer
- Experience performing power system impact studies
- Proficiency with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA
- Experience in automating/programming in Python
- Strong commitment to project quality and budget objectives
- Ability to identify training needs and communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager
