Responsibilities
- Design satellite structures and mechanisms in collaboration with satellite sub-system teams.
- Manage CAD assemblies and drawings as a CAD modeling expert (SolidWorks).
- Develop build documents and drawings for hardware.
- Define, build, and test designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware.
- Support the fabrication assembly and testing of flight builds.
- Implement design solutions in complex environments.
- Ensure mechanical designs meet extreme environment and mass constraint requirements.
Job Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience with CAD skills for developing models and drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with complex satellite/space systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
