Responsibilities
- Design satellite structures and mechanisms in collaboration with sub-system teams.
- Manage CAD assemblies and drawings as a CAD modeling expert (SolidWorks).
- Develop build documents and drawings for hardware.
- Define, build, and test designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware.
- Support the fabrication assembly and testing of flight builds.
- Implement design solutions in complex environments.
- Ensure mechanical designs can survive extreme environments and mass constraints.
Job Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience with CAD for developing models and drawings.
- Experience with mechanical design in complex environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent real-world experience.
- Familiarity with complex satellite/space systems is a plus.
