Responsibilities
- Develop asset spare strategies for substation equipment.
- Monitor and support repair and maintenance of substation assets.
- Lead investigations and repairs during urgent trouble events.
- Interface with customers for planning and upgrading substation equipment.
- Update and manage the Work Management System for asset changes.
- Mentor less experienced engineers in various engineering practices.
- Support restoration activities during power outages caused by storms.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience or 7 years with a Professional Engineer License.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in electric utility substations preferred.
- Leadership experience and familiarity with ANSI/IEEE Standards preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various substation sites.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including evening and weekend work as needed.
