Responsibilities
- Performs design, engineering, economic, and investigative assignments for facility installation and rehabilitation.
- Conducts system modeling, load flow, and protective device coordination studies; prepares reports with conclusions.
- Assists senior engineers with more complex studies to meet departmental goals.
- Consults with superiors, peers, and vendors for design and cost information.
- Inspects proposed installation sites for connection recommendations and rehabilitation proposals.
- Supports the development of business cases through capital project planning.
- Analyzes distribution network loading and recommends correction plans for performance issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: EIT Certification or PE License.
- Preferred: Utility experience.
- Preferred: Experience with power system simulation software (e.g., CYME, PSS\E).
