Responsibilities
- Support daily activities of the Operations Center related to transmission and substation operations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate distribution circuit metrics and tracking of inoperable equipment.
- Perform studies to ensure transmission and subtransmission reliability.
- Work with Transmission Planning, SCADA, and Operations Center for EMS software maintenance.
- Develop operating guides and procedures to ensure system reliability.
- Provide technical support for the System Restoration Plan and other Emergency Plans.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and various internal/external committees.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Strong organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to various locations.
- Utility experience and PE License preferred.
- Experience in SCADA systems and State Estimator Modeling preferred.
- Ability to work variable on-site and during non-typical hours as needed.
- Position may be filled at level II or III based on experience and education.
