Responsibilities
- Perform design and field work for overhead and underground distribution facilities.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and permit requests for assigned projects.
- Use software to create or modify designs for distribution and subtransmission facilities.
- Conduct field inspections and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion.
- Review applications for joint use attachment to company assets.
- Assist GIS Technicians with data collection as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company specifications during inspections.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred; or Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Up to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a step 7 Technician to advance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of CAD and GIS systems.
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Must maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
