Responsibilities
- Leads, supervises, and directs the engineering department including R&D and prototype development.
- Manages outside engineering contractors or consultants.
- Provides technical input in bid/proposal processes and leads the NPI process.
- Participates in annual strategic planning and budgeting with budgetary responsibility for the Engineering Department.
- Acts as a technical liaison to support manufacturing in Guaymas, MX facility.
- Mentors and coaches teams in critical thinking and structured problem solving.
- Supports vendor development and selection.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in materials or aerospace engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of composite materials and bonding processes for aerospace applications.
- Experience with mechanical/physical testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in CATIA and Unigraphics.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
