Engineering Intern

The role is for a summer internship at Ducommun, where interns will assist engineers across various disciplines in the design, development, and testing of aerospace and defense systems and components.

• Aids in the design and development of test automation systems and software for product testing.
• Assists in the design of automated test systems and programming.
• Creates and assembles cables and fixtures for testing.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and production problems based on test results.
• Aids in the design and development of manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Supports product design documentation and engineering change processes.
• Analyzes product designs for electrical components using simulation tools.

• Proficiency with computer usage and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in SolidWorks, Ansys HFSS, Altium Designer, AutoCAD, and/or LabVIEW.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Upper-level or Graduate student in relevant engineering fields.
• Must be continuing education post internship.
