Responsibilities
- Create and manage CAD designs of components and BOM structure.
- Build and analyze FE models of Node™-based vehicle structures.
- Present design summaries and reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and execute technical solutions for automotive structures.
- Collaborate with the DAPS Product Engineering team and other disciplines.
- Implement cost reduction methods and support prototype activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and support vehicle builds/testing.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in structure design and CAD modeling.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and analysis software packages.
- Understanding of linear/nonlinear behaviors of advanced materials.
- Strong comprehension of solid mechanics.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to manage workload.
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP, and overall vehicle systems/sub-systems is preferred.
