Responsibilities
- Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems.
- Develops design information for use in drawings and specifications.
- Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Provides engineering design, maintenance support, and training for new products and equipment.
- Designs and conducts experiments, collects data, and interprets results.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes a variety of engineering activities including documentation and reporting.
- Determines maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for current and new equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum 2-10 years work experience in the manufacture and design of engineered products.
- Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators, and propulsors).
- Proficiency in GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems, and FEA methods.
- Ability to create models and drawings and present design reviews.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform analysis and studies in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
