Mechanical Design Engineer

The role is for a Mechanical Design Engineer at Curtiss-Wright's Pittsburgh location, focusing on the design and analysis of electro-mechanical components and systems.

• Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Develops drawings and specifications for new and modified designs.
• Supports manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
• Provides engineering design, maintenance support, and training for new products and equipment.
• Designs and conducts experiments, collects data, and interprets results.
• Plans and coordinates various engineering activities, including documentation and technical presentations.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2-10 years of work experience in the manufacture and design of engineered products.
• Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs.
• Proficiency in GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems, and FEA methods.
• Ability to create models and drawings and present design reviews.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform analysis in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
