Responsibilities
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on protective relays and systems.
- Work with overhead and underground switching and regulating devices.
- Maintain and repair substation equipment and control systems.
- Utilize computer systems for automated testing and preparing technical reports.
- Conduct work in various weather conditions and perform heavy manual labor.
- Complete necessary training for Bucket Truck Aerial and Ladder Line operations.
- Respond to emergency assignments to restore service to customers.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant technical experience or an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology.
- Knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical power theory and circuit analysis.
- Proficiency in mathematics, including basic trigonometry and vector analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a CDL license and pass required placement exams.
- Capability to perform heavy manual labor and work in adverse conditions.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and computer applications for technical reporting.
