Responsibilities
- Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical/electromechanical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components with technical oversight.
- Analyze test results in relation to design specifications and objectives.
- Communicate effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Document development, analysis, and test data.
- Follow appropriate design, safety, and qualification standards in development programs.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering (3rd year or greater preferred).
- U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software is preferred.
- Familiarity with ANSYS or other mechanical analysis software is preferred.
- Willingness to engage fully in the co-op session from June to December 2026.
- Motivation and passion for the aerospace and defense mission.
