Responsibilities
- Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical systems.
- Produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Execute tests for systems and analyze test results.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers in a cross-functional team.
- Document development, analysis, and test data.
- Follow design, safety, and qualification standards.
- Learn about the product development cycle processes.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software preferred.
- Familiarity with ANSYS or other mechanical analysis software preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Willingness to engage fully in the co-op experience.
