Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings of battery interconnects and current collector assemblies.
- Select termination options for connecting to BMS/PCBA.
- Define requirements for flex circuit products based on various system-level requirements.
- Build prototype circuits and support launch activities.
- Lead design reviews and DFM analysis.
- Execute DVP&R and DFMEA to validate products.
- Develop processes and material combinations to enhance circuit performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Li-Ion battery requirements and performance.
- Preferred experience in simulation analysis (FEA and CFD).
- Familiarity with battery connection manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties of materials.
- Ability to size busbars using simulations and calculations.
- Experience with the design and validation of electrical interfaces and connections.
