Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to field support.
- Learn about requirements and challenges in various applications, including off-road autonomy and industrial automation.
- Develop requirements with customers and peers for new robotics applications.
- Model parts and assemblies in CAD (SolidWorks) for design and feasibility work.
- Identify mechanical risks in designs and model failures using various engineering tools.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, and systems engineers.
- Test sensors, components, and subassemblies in lab equipment and prepare test reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Product design background integrating mechanisms and electronics.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks.
- Solid background in engineering analysis and design considerations.
- Ability to work independently and take personal accountability.
- Excellent written and presentation skills for communication with customers and team members.
