Responsibilities
- Work on a multi-disciplinary team for the development and deployment of robotics products.
- Architect, design, analyze, and support robot structures and systems.
- Lead qualification test design and execution for components and systems.
- Oversee initial production builds with the manufacturing team.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure designs meet their needs.
- Document standards and compliance for designed products.
- Prototype and iterate designs in collaboration with team members.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 12 years of experience in designing and supporting mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD and analytical tools (Solidworks and Ansys Mechanical).
- Experience with various manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machined, etc.).
- Ability to design for harsh outdoor environments.
- Experience working with component vendors and test engineering organizations.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
