Responsibilities
- Develop and support mechanical and structural designs for robotics products.
- Architect, design, analyze, and test primary structures and complex systems.
- Lead qualification test design and execution for components and systems.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team for initial production builds.
- Engage with customers on-site to ensure designs meet their needs.
- Document standards and compliance for designed products.
- Prototype and iterate designs quickly while collaborating with the team.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 12 years of experience in mechanical design and support.
- Proficiency in CAD and analytical tools (Solidworks and Ansys Mechanical).
- Experience with various manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to design for harsh outdoor environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with management and vendors.
- Experience with industry standards and testing methodologies.
- BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
