Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain multiple robotics products through successful deployment and support.
- Design and analyze primary structures, electronics enclosures, and complex actuated systems.
- Lead qualification test design and execution at the component and system levels.
- Oversee initial production builds in collaboration with the manufacturing team.
- Engage with customers in agricultural settings to ensure product design meets their needs.
- Document Standards and Compliance for the designed products.
- Collaborate with vendors to source components and lead manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 12 years of experience in designing and supporting complex mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD and analytical tools, specifically Solidworks and Ansys Mechanical.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes including sheet metal and composite parts.
- Knowledge of designing for outdoor environments to mitigate risks like corrosion and shock damage.
- Ability to prototype and iterate designs collaboratively and independently.
- Experience with applicable industry standards and testing methodologies.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% for field support and collaboration.
