Responsibilities
- Develop lightweight, high-performance satellite deployable structures to meet requirements.
- Design and analyze structural components through various development phases.
- Manage CAD assemblies and drawings for the deployable structures group.
- Support prototype assembly and testing of proto-flight builds.
- Develop build documentation and drawings from hardware.
- Assist the systems engineering team with mission concepts and proposals.
- Provide input during team-level groups, program reviews, and technical interchange meetings regarding deployable hardware.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with CAD (Solidworks) modeling and management of CAD assemblies and drawings.
- Experience in a fast-paced prototype environment.
- Hands-on development and test experience with hardware.
- Mechanism design experience.
- Understanding of flight build practices and experience with composite structures.
- Must comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations (ITAR).
