Responsibilities
- Own hardware development from specification to design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, perception, controls, and manufacturing engineers.
- Design flight hardware and test setups to validate designs.
- Establish design architectures and communicate decisions with stakeholders.
- Document design analysis and testing results; make data-driven decisions.
- Work with Industrial Design partners to meet design intent and customer needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical engineering team.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering or product design.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in DFM, DFA, and DFT.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools and knowledge of material properties.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques like stamping, machining, and 3D printing.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience in related industries and knowledge of UAV/UAS design.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
