Responsibilities
- Own hardware development from specification to design, prototype, testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, perception, controls, and manufacturing engineers.
- Design flight hardware and test setups to validate designs.
- Establish design architectures and communicate decisions with stakeholders.
- Perform design analysis and document testing results for data-driven decisions.
- Work with Industrial Design partners to meet design intent and customer needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical engineering team.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering or product design.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in DFM, DFA, and DFT.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling tools.
- Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing techniques.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience in relevant industries.
- Preferred: Experience developing mechanical solutions for UAV/UAS applications.
