Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve complex, intermittent, and systemic issues across the Atlas fleet.
  • Act as the engineering link between robot operations and core design teams.
  • Design and develop automated diagnostic checks and data-driven models for performance monitoring.
  • Advocate for design changes that enhance robustness and serviceability based on field data.
  • Mentor other engineers in system-level debugging and reliability design best practices.
  • Develop tools to empower operations teams for efficient issue identification and resolution.
  • Implement systemic, data-driven solutions to improve fleet reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience debugging multidisciplinary robotic systems (12+ years with a Bachelor's, 8+ with a Master's, or 5+ with a PhD).
  • Deep understanding of electric geared motors and motor control firmware.
  • Proven track record of implementing systemic reliability solutions.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for debugging and data analysis.
  • Experience with kinematics, dynamics, and complex sensor data processing.
  • Preferred experience in robotics reliability, diagnostics, or fleet management.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling for hardware performance.
