Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex, intermittent, and systemic issues across the Atlas fleet.
- Act as the engineering link between robot operations and core design teams.
- Design and develop automated diagnostic checks and data-driven models for performance monitoring.
- Advocate for design changes that enhance robustness and serviceability based on field data.
- Mentor other engineers in system-level debugging and reliability design best practices.
- Develop tools to empower operations teams for efficient issue identification and resolution.
- Implement systemic, data-driven solutions to improve fleet reliability.
Job Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience debugging multidisciplinary robotic systems (12+ years with a Bachelor's, 8+ with a Master's, or 5+ with a PhD).
- Deep understanding of electric geared motors and motor control firmware.
- Proven track record of implementing systemic reliability solutions.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for debugging and data analysis.
- Experience with kinematics, dynamics, and complex sensor data processing.
- Preferred experience in robotics reliability, diagnostics, or fleet management.
- Expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling for hardware performance.
