Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate advanced future propulsion systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to address propulsion performance gaps.
  • Conduct engine cycle and performance analyses.
  • Apply testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation tools.
  • Plan and conduct propulsion tests, including various types of testing environments.
  • Participate in mentorship and development programming.
  • Build a professional network through events and activities.

Job Requirements

  • Completed first year of PhD studies by July 2026.
  • Pursuing a PhD in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with propulsion performance modeling and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of propulsion cycles, thermodynamics, and gas dynamics.
  • Knowledge of propulsion architectures.
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026.
  • Experience with NPSS and MATLAB is preferred.
