Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire design cycle including system architecture and requirements derivation.
- Conduct structural analysis and detailed design for metallic components and assemblies.
- Support manufacturing and integration efforts, and development testing.
- Identify and implement design changes to enhance system reliability and reduce costs.
- Conduct verification audits of components and subsystems.
- Coach and mentor team members in technical areas.
- Utilize 3D CAD programs for mechanical design and integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of aircraft or launch vehicles.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using 3D CAD programs.
- Strong skills in structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and task ownership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight.
