Responsibilities
- Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary composite structures.
- Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents.
- Create test plans, specifications, and documentation for flight hardware development.
- Provide technical guidance for integration and manufacturing support.
- Participate in subsystem test planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis.
- Develop component specifications and manage suppliers.
- Coach, mentor, and technically assist other engineers.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering and 6 years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Experience with vehicle load path distribution and structural design.
- Strong understanding of composite and metallic design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and composite software workbenches.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis.
- Ability to apply structural mechanics principles and conduct finite element analysis.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams for material selection and manufacturing processes.
