Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle of hardware from requirements definition through concept development, design, analysis, testing, qualification, and integration onto a launch vehicle.
- Design, analyze, develop, and test primary and secondary metallic and composite structures.
- Build 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
- Provide technical guidance and support for manufacturing, production, and integration activities.
- Conduct tests, analyze data, and author test reports.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams for material selection and manufacturing processes.
- Coach and mentor other engineers.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering and 6+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Experience with vehicle load path distribution and first order strength assessment.
- Strong understanding of composite and metallic design fundamentals.
- Proficiency with industry standard analysis codes (e.g., Ansys, Nastran).
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Creo) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS).
- Strong communication skills and collaborative attitude.
- Willingness to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
