Responsibilities

  • Serve as the embedded senior program safety engineer supporting the Space Resources Program team.
  • Implement safety programs and practices for hazard evaluation and control.
  • Lead early hazard identification efforts and manage mitigation planning.
  • Provide expertise in design reviews, test reviews, and operational planning.
  • Support safety assessments for both flight and non-flight hardware.
  • Perform safety consultation services and manage incident responses.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation related to safety assessments.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in safety, EHS, process safety, or reliability engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in an operational aerospace environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience with hazard assessments and risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
