Responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded senior program safety engineer supporting the Space Resources Program team.
- Implement safety programs and practices for hazard evaluation and control.
- Lead early hazard identification efforts and manage mitigation planning.
- Provide expertise in design reviews, test reviews, and operational planning.
- Support safety assessments for both flight and non-flight hardware.
- Perform safety consultation services and manage incident responses.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation related to safety assessments.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in safety, EHS, process safety, or reliability engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in an operational aerospace environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Experience with hazard assessments and risk management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
