Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic parts.
- Create 3D models, detail part drawings, and interface control documents.
- Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
- Offer technical guidance for integration and support configuration development.
- Develop test plans, specifications, and documentation for flight hardware.
- Participate in subsystem test planning, execution, and data analysis.
- Coordinate and conduct tests while maintaining activity schedules and budgets.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- 12+ years of experience with structures in automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
- Strong mechanical design skills using 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with structural design of metallic components and assemblies.
- Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to apply structural mechanics principles and perform finite element analysis.
