Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for the development of primary and secondary composite structures.
- Work as an integral part of the structures engineering team to produce, validate, and certify composite design.
- Generate engineering drawings and CAD for composite structures.
- Develop configuration and design trade studies.
- Provide manufacturing and production support, coordinating activities between design and manufacturing teams.
- Implement processes and training to minimize production discrepancies.
- Plan, conduct tests, and review test data.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in composite primary structure engineering development.
- Experience with certification of composite parts for aerospace applications.
- Expertise in automated fiber placement (AFP) and other composite fabrication methods.
- Proficiency in Creo CAD software.
- Knowledge of GD&T analysis and performing tolerance stacks.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
