RF Operations Engineer III

The RF Operations Engineer III at Blue Origin will support the development and operations of the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle, focusing on RF telemetry systems and communication links essential for launch operations.

• Design, install, and check mission-critical communications systems for telemetry data, video, and voice during rocket launches.
• Manage and troubleshoot RF communication systems in maritime environments for launch and landing operations.
• Establish procedures for verifying requirements and specifications against communication hardware through testing.
• Recommend and apply information security processes to maintain the integrity of communications systems.
• Develop and maintain configuration control and inventory of RF communications assets.
• Create detailed documentation for mission communications systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (electrical engineering, physics, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience as a communications systems engineer.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or legal residency status.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience with SATCOM, microwave LOS, or RF communications systems is desired.
• Active or eligible for National Security Clearance SSBI is preferred.
