Responsibilities
- Develop production, development, test, integration, and manufacturing tooling.
- Integrate mechanical design concepts across various projects.
- Interpret and apply design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
- Address technical design challenges for assembly fixtures and custom machines.
- Collaborate with component designers and manufacturing engineers.
- Manage tooling projects, including vendor selection and commissioning.
- Maintain schedules and budgets for project completion.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of experience in tooling and fixtures design.
- Proficiency in CAD and FEA software (preferably Creo and ANSYS).
- Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Understanding of manufacturing materials and processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASME BTH-1, NASA SP-8077).
- Experience with custom machine design components.
