Responsibilities
- Lead the conception and design of large deployable structures for space use.
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Design and select mechanical components for reliability under launch conditions.
- Prototype and test concepts through rapid iteration.
- Perform mechanical analyses to ensure successful deployment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless integration.
- Document designs and analyses in accordance with aerospace standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Expertise in CAD modeling and producing detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience with structural analysis and testing mechanisms for deployment.
- Hands-on experience prototyping and testing hardware.
- Proficiency in mechanical analyses such as FEA and vibration analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
