Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing work instructions for fabrication, assembly, test, integration, and refurbishment.
- Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout manufacturing.
- Review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing.
- Define and support repair and rework activities.
- Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Design material handling and packaging for hardware protection.
- Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience with hardware manufacturing in various systems (structures, fluid, mechanical, avionics).
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams.
- Strong written and technical skills, including CAD and scheduling software.
- Understanding of industry quality systems such as AS9100.
