Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis for deployable mechanisms across various phases including design and flight certification.
- Build, validate, and maintain finite element models for structural integrity.
- Develop loads and environments, authoring structural verification plans.
- Analyze hybrid structures and execute dynamic analysis for deployment events.
- Support qualification test planning and execution, defining test levels and correlation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide best practice guidance.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing on design for manufacturability constraints.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5–8+ years of experience in structural analysis for aerospace hardware.
- Proficiency in relevant FEA tools (e.g., NASTRAN, Abaqus).
- Experience with CFRP/metal hybrid analysis and generating structural requirements.
- Knowledge of test planning and correlation.
- Preferred MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods and material selection.
