Responsibilities
- Create architecture and detailed designs.
- Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing processes for composites and pressure vessels.
- Execute test plans for COPV qualification and acceptance, including data analysis.
- Partner with third-party vendors for COPV design and manage these relationships.
- Support integration of COPVs on vehicles and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct research to identify and implement design improvements for COPVs.
- Ensure commitment to quality and safety in human spaceflight projects.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Strong mechanical design skills using CAD software (ProEngineer, Creo, NX, Catia).
- Familiarity with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience in structural design of metallic and composite components.
- Technical writing experience for reporting and test plans.
- Preferred: 5+ years in aerospace or space development programs.
