Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, develop, and test/qualify composite and metallic structures.
- Create and modify 3D models, detailed part drawings, and assemblies.
- Serve as the primary design engineering contact for manufacturing and production support issues.
- Identify and implement cost and rate improvements through design updates.
- Develop engineering corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for material and manufacturing process selection.
- Coach and mentor other engineers.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering and 5 years of aerospace structures experience.
- Proficiency in aerospace structures design, analysis, and manufacturing methods.
- Experience with CATIA V5 and Creo (Pro/E) for mechanical design.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices and quality control.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance analysis.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with composite structure repairs and nonconforming hardware disposition.
